Cynthia Cable studied at Parsons School of Design and received a BFA from Syracuse University. She continued her education with Robert Heinecken and Arthur Siegel at Harvard University and later with Nathan Lyons at the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester New York.
For several years she worked as a scientific photographer, first at Harvard and then later at Caltech. She then worked at the LA County Medical Centers a medical photographer. She has been a freelance photographer for 30 years.
She’s been very interested in capturing the graphic elements of people’s interaction with their surroundings. how people and objects relate to their surroundings. Cynthia works in color as well as black and white photography, and paints primarily in acrylics. Her work has been in many juried shows, and she had one-woman shows in Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.
