Kathleen Kase Burk

Kathleen Kase Burk has exhibited her drawings in regional and national shows for over thirty years, winning many awards.

Her works are included in public and private collections, such as Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, Pennsylvania College of Technology, and Westmoreland Museum of American Art. She received a BA degree in English in 1972 and an MA degree in Art in 1980, both from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has taught art in a variety of settings, including the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, visiting artists through PA Council on the Arts, and Bishop Carroll High School in Ebensburg.

We are saddened to share that Kathleen passed away in October 2020 after having donated a piece of artwork to this year's Art for Change. Kathleen has been a long supporter of Persad Center for over 30 years, and we are so grateful for her beautiful artwork and for her contributions to LGBTQ+ mental health in Pittsburgh.
