Brogan G. McGowan, he/they, is Founder and Principal Artist of Notes From Brogan, a letter-writing campaign that works to organize stakeholders, people, and community allies who are invested in securing safe and affirming housing, healthcare and employment experiences for LGBTQIA people in southwestern PA.

Brogan’s professional experience began in 2015 by organizing people for good starting with the Human Rights Campaign of New York City where he canvassed with a team of 25 people working to support The Marriage Equality Act. In just three months, Brogan’s field team successfully raised more than one million dollars to benefit the passing of historic legislation. Shortly thereafter, Brogan began volunteering with The National LGBTQIA Task Force and quickly became an integral team member to their two major annual events. Brogan’s creative influence has been sought out by companies like Allies for Health + Wellbeing and Central Outreach Wellness Center.

Brogan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Critical Communications from Allegheny College. Brogan also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Allegheny College.
