Yoko Sekino-Bove

Artist

Yoko Sekino-Bové (she/her) grew up in Tokyo, Japan. After working as a graphic designer in Tokyo and Los Angeles, she received an MFA in Ceramics from the University of Oklahoma. Yoko works from her home studio in Washington, Pennsylvania, and her porcelain work has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and many private homes (mainly kitchens) worldwide. Her work has been featured in publications such as CAST: Art and Objects, Humor in Craft, 500 cups, 500 plates and chargers, 500 Teapots Part II, and Ceramics Monthly magazine. She enjoys teaching workshops and serving residencies while teaching ceramic courses at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Her work is represented by Charlie Cummings Gallery in Gainsville, FL, and Clay AKAR in Iowa City, IO.
