ART FOR CHANGE 2021!
Art For Change is one of the largest art auctions in Pittsburgh and features works of art donated by local and national artists. Pieces are auctioned in silent and live verbal auctions. Guests enjoy fine food as they bid on artwork and gift baskets, are entertained by cutting-edge performers and artists, and much, much more.
Every dollar raised at Art for Change supports Persad Center's services for the LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS-affected communities.
Persad Center is the second oldest LGBTQ+ center of its kind in the nation, dedicated to improving the well-being of the LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS-affected communities in Western Pennsylvania. Persad Center provides a variety of mental health, substance abuse, advocacy, and training services.

The Campaign
Local artist and photographer Emerson Aniceto has generously donated his time and skills to coordinate a new art and awareness campaign for this year’s event.
We will invite community members and allies who have contributed to or participated in Art for Change over the years to participate in a photo session where we hope to show how art can change people and how in turn these people have embodied change in the world for our LGBTQ+ communities. The photography highlights this message through the “I am the change” t-shirts, and the photos will be featured on social media and our websites, as well as printed and exhibited at the event.
This campaign shows off our communities as unique individuals and also as one collective group.
Together, we can be the change that brings hope, light, and beauty to the world.
